The green car got caught in a wicked storm tonight, including some big hail. I was on the highway at the time. The car is dirty and was wet, so I am not sure how much damage was done, but there is definitely two big dings in the hood, and one or more on each quarter panel. Freaking sucks, but at least no glass was broken. I guess this will make it that much easier to make a CMC2 car out of it...

Man, that sux! I remember getting caught in a hailstorm driving our new 2500HD home from work. I was driving it because I was the only one in the family who could come close to following the break-in recommendations. It was that new.
It made an awful racket, as I remember, and I got lucky and could pull over under an overpass and let it pass. I was first under the overpass to pull over. By the time the hail quit, there was a line behind me. ;-) Luckily, it was pea-sized or smaller, so no apparent damage. It was really, really loud, though. Good luck with the insurance, and the repair. You don't want the dimples on the roof, they provide lift! |
