I'm not sure why details get missed so much sometimes. Pat was on it though.... A Pontiac only weighs more than a Camaro because of the headlight stuff, the rest of the car is the same.

Comparing a TA to a '98 1LE is fine. But 1LE's had crank windows, this one was Camaro, so no headlight stuff..... Of course the TA had a power seat too, maybe a CD changer????? The TA would have had 17's and the Camaro 16's (unless that was changed), and so on.

A *1LE* Formula and a 1LE really aren't much different at all.

AFter 1997 Pontiac did not make any regular Formula 1LE's... They only offered the Factory 1LE option with a WS6 option car.

The WS6 had the headlight motor additional weight... but the Fiberglass hood less than the Steel hood camaro. My '99 WS6 Formula 1LE weighed 3360 w/ Full tank of fuel.

Camaro 1LE's are stripper Camaro's... still valuable to anyone who likes collectibility, or is an Automotive Sports enthusiast. But Camaro 1LE's won't bring what Pontiac 1LE's bring... Pontiac has made less than 250 1LE's in 12 years... Chevrolet did that many in 1 and 2 year runs...

I still think this car is worth about $13K to me... But I bought a 2002 Z28 6spd car... w/ 13K miles for $13,500 2 years ago... And unfortunatey... performance wise... the '01 & '02's are a bit better.

Peace,
Dave
