o.k. - as many of you know quite a few of us FRRAX members here are going to be trekking across the country to participate in the 2nd Annual NASA Nationals @ Mid Ohio.
i would like each of us who are heading to Mid Ohio to submit the planned route and if any of our members here who live along that route are willing to be available for any amount of roadside assistance, post or email your contact info and location to that person or persons who you think it would benefit the most. this could be as simple as being available via phone to answer questions regarding the local area to providing a place to crash while a tow rig or trailer repairs are being made. the level of support is up to you and any help would be greatly appreciated. i think we will be driving the Dallas to Nashville to Columbus route again this year. if you can help myself and or Mitch while we do this if the need arises, PM me or email me @ Glenn_Landrum (at) msn (dot) com . we will be leaving on Sept 10th. |

I live less than 5 minutes from both I-64 and I-75, just a few miles west of Lexington, about an hour east of Louisville, and about 1.5 hours south of Cinci. I have MIG.
RaceCarSupply.com (formerly Schings Racing) is just down the road. They specialize in Formula Vee, but do a lot of road race-related work on "real" cars, and have a chassis dyno, lift, and tire servicing equipment. They carry AN fittings, various racing fluids (ATE, Redline, etc), safety equipment (including hans), and other racing-related stuff (but no stock replacement parts). The website is only useful for getting the phone number (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Jenny Schings drives an AI Mustang (or did before the kid, dunno now), so like I said they do more than Vees. In the general area of the northwestern split of I-75/I-64, there's also a Republic Diesel (for driveshaft work), a slew of autoparts stores, a Chevy dealer, and of course a Cracker Barrel (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) This post has been edited by sgarnett: Sep 6 2007, 03:58 PM |
