OK, you LS1 goobs asked for it so here it is. I expect to have the prototype run from the machine shop by early January which will consist of 50mm - 56mm for testing. Production sets should be ready by Feb 1.

The restrictor is upside down in the pic. When the TB opens, the top half leans in towards the intake. The throttle blade looks like it would fit nicely in the cut out.
I don't mean to come off harsh. but I don't think its a good design. If you cut an LSX intake open, you'll notice that they fill with air in a certain way, and with the hole where it is (towards the top) I could see some issues with the back to cylinders running leaner than they already do. It also seems like that air would become more turbulent once inside the intake. I feel a better design would have the hole centered and run a spacer. A restrictor is something that I have been seriously considering because on track, i feel that my new motor is going to exceed my driving capabilities. |
