I just read an article on the new CTS-V release. It will be powered by a 550hp supercharged V8 based loosely on the ZR-1 corvette powerplant. Unfortunately the car will be available only with a paddle-shifted 6-speed automatic. I wish I could afford one, what a car!

QUOTE For those who prefer to handle the gear selection process on their own, the same Tremec 6060 used in the ZR1 is paired up with a dual plate clutch. The dual plate clutch provides the necessary torque capacity with a lower pedal effort. From http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/08/detroit...ed-with-550-hp/ Also, they say it'll have a 6L90E auto, same as a HD pickup! |

Also, they say it'll have a 6L90E auto, same as a HD pickup! Great, so it also weighs in at 1 metric ton (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) |
