I have an old Blackberry (the GF calls it a Crackberry). It's very useful and I only pay an extra $35 a month over my regular cell service for unlimited data. It's already paid for itself and I've only had it for a couple months. But I'm looking ahead to the Curve. I really miss the multimedia features of the previous phone and I would like to have them back. I can easily see how the BB could make a dent in this market.
I played with the Pearl this weekend and a Curve and the Pearl seemed to guess most of the words without a problem, but I really like the full QWERTY keyboard, just because I have full control. Do any of you have any experience with the Curve on Verizon? Do you have any comments on other carriers? Any comments in general? This post has been edited by v7guy: May 13 2008, 01:28 AM |

QUOTE but the lack of keyboard is a big no-no for me. You mean lack of a tactile keyboard - iphone does indeed have a keyboard. ;-) I was much quicker typing on my Treo that I had pre-iphone. But after a couple of weeks with the iphone I'm about as quick as before. Once I got the hang of the software's suggestive word replacement, I found I could tap out emails and text messages at a pretty good clip. Where the finger hits the key was slightly different between the two keyboards as well. I think that took the most time to get down. The rest of the interface completely blows Palm out of the water, in my opinion. The only thing I missed when I moved to the iphone was Dope Wars. Looks like there's a version for the iphone now. Yay. Jason |
