We are being discouraged from using fireworks in places where it is legal, my buddy is having a little GTG though with the legal "safe and sane" fireworks. I've been part of a crew that puts on a July 4th pyrotechnics display for a local country club for almost 10 years now. We manually set off 2"-6" fireworks mortars. Loads of fun!! You can feel the mortars fire off, especially when you are less than 3 feet from them lighting the fuses with a road flare. It's hot, hard work digging the holes to plant the mortar tubes, and then digging them up again after they've been pounded into the ground by the mortars, but the experience is well worth it. We had a great 4th!!
