EVERYONE INVOLVED HAS BEEN E-MAILED (to whatever e-mail address you paypal'd from) but just so it is out there, here is what the e-mail says:

First of all, just to reiterate how it all goes down for those who don't know, I pretty much just make and sell splitters and some plastic parts. I also drop ship items that other one man operations, like myself, make for these cars. Brian, McNord, makes these overlays for our cars...

He worked (past tense now) at a company that had the million dollar machines capable of making these high quality overlays. He would do the artwork (multiple layers, ALL one offs so it takes quite a while as you all know), then print, cure, print, cure, print cure add the adhesive, have them die cut and ship them. All was done through his work, after hours.

The production process alone takes a long time and the fact he could only do it when it was his turn to use the machines really made it slow but there is no other way to deliver $300 quality overlays for $125...

We finally had finished our last Group Purchase 3 and had sent all the overlays to shipping (also done through his company to get the company cheaper rate) and started the current Group Purchase 4 and had/have at this point 14 orders (so we can go ahead with production)

I am writing to let all of you know the news I found out today... I got this e-mail from Brian (McNord, guy who makes these for us in Arizona)...

"Mark,
Bad news, when I went to see what the scheduled delivery date on the overlays was I found that the shipping department had shelved & hidden them. I asked them WTF!!! I was told to go ask my manager, that they were just doing what they were told.

I went to my manager yesterday and he told me that they needed to make sure that there weren't any issues with the credit card I had payed with. I asked him what he was talking about. He then told me that he was afraid I would do something stupid or stop payment once they went out because I was being laid off today (yesterday). All news to me.

He then told me that my position was no longer required and all that bla bla crap. I was escorted out of the building and I am waiting for them to call me so I can pick all my stuff up (including the overlays) and go from there. This morning I called a couple of guys I know that do printing and they are working out quotes for this stuff. I am sorry about all of this and I thought they had been sent out. Everything is there and done, but not in the mail yet. I am very angry that they just hid them and sat on it and told me "no problem" & "all taken care of".

I paid in full for the printing & everything with the same credit card they have on file, but I guess they are just being asses about it. They thought I would try to retaliate once I found out I was being let go. Once again I am SOOOO sorry about this, it was not my intention to make everyone wait even longer, I thought everyone already had their overlays.

I WILL be getting them back as soon as they tell me I can come and get them. Please understand how sorry I am for this and let the others know I am sorry as well. It was out of my control. Once again I am sorry.

This means the 44 orders from Group Purchase 3 ARE COMPLETELY DONE but did not ship. They will ship within the week. Again, we had no idea and this was obviously one of many surprises today.

We apologize a BILLION times over but also want to say what an amazing group of enthusiasts you guys are as we have not had one person be angry or not understanding of the process. We thank you so much for that, and apologize for yet ANOTHER delay...

If any of you decide you would like to order matching HVAC, Headlight or Shift Plate overlays then e-mail me when I run that group purchase (within the week) and you will get them at our cost...

Next, on to the people who recently paid for the CURRENT group purchase... McNord has 99% locked another place to print...

"Holy crap! Brian, I am so sorry to hear that! Damn, that sucks. You work with those people and then they just treat you like some stranger off the street, not cool at all...

I'll go through the paypals and find everyone's e-mail addresses, is it ok to let people know what happened?

Main thing is let me know as soon as you can about making another batch as I have about 10 people's payments sitting in my paypal account as we speak.... I will stop the GP asap until we know what to do next...

Man, I am SOOOO sorry to hear this dude. Hopefully you can find another place to get these printed so we can make you some interim money and maybe the other place will even hire you...

"Thanks, and yes you can tell everyone whatever you want, I don't want to hide anything from anybody. I have the 42 or 43 orders from GP3 filled and they are complete, just not shipped. I can get them, I just have to get permission to go onto the property again which I will but they require a "cooling off period". I am still waiting for my quotes, one guy says he can definitely do it, just needs to figure out how to price it. I will let you know when I get the word from him and my previous employer. Let me know what you would like me to do for everybody, I will do what I can.

I have also been considering making a mold of my quarter panels and seeing if people would be interested in having a set like mine. They would already have the "corrected" shape unlike the ebay ones. There would still be a lot of details to work out, but I am kind of grabbing at strings right now so I figured I would bring it up. Let me know what you think, It may work well with the nose you are working on.

SO, we don't know the cost yet but WE ARE GETTING YOUR ORDERS PRINTED. We will also HONOR THE PRICE YOU HAVE ALREADY PAID. More than likely any other GP for these overlays will start at $200 so it may take a couple of weeks to get it going but you will get the overlays and you will not be asked to pay anymore money, we will cover the difference.

You see now there is a lot going into getting all of these one-off custom overlays made for the cheap price they are. Down to shipping through his company even. All of which makes the process longer, and now in the case of the shipping, makes it delayed past the time to produce them (which, as always said before is 4-6 weeks to your door after artwork lock).

LONG STORY SHORT, Brian lost his job and orders from last GP did not ship because of it. He will pick up all the completed overlays and ship as soon as possible. You are all entitled to HVAC, etc.. at our cost on the next GP if you want them (I WILL ALSO HOOK YOU UP WITH ANY OTHER PRODUCTS I SELL AT A GREAT PRICE JUST CONTACT ME). Again, thank you so much for your understanding!

CURRENT group purchases that are paid by Friday are honored but will take a couple of extra weeks, after midnight it is on lock down. We WILL get these made for you but (to the rest reading this on bulletin boards) WE DO NOT GUARUNTEE THAT WILL EVER BE ABLE TO SELL THESE FOR THIS PRICE EVER AGAIN. IF YOU WANT ONE, YOU HAVE UNTIL MIDNIGHT.
