Goodluck, hopefully I can get to VIR just to check out the facility and get a peek at some of the hardware that shows up. Never been might be a worthy roadtrip.

Thanks!
If you do make it out, stop by for sure!

Took a look at your link and like your Camaro. Tell me about the wheels and what you did to make them work if you don't mind.

What do you need to know? They're too skinny 8.5" but they are (were) available much wider, they weigh in at 21lbs if I remember correctly. I've had them for so long I'm not sure which knock off brand they are (cheap ebay find). Running 2" skulte adapters for my specific offset, a little digging and a little math and you should be able to find whatever you need to make them fit.

If I knew then what I know now, I would have went 17x 9.5's. But this Stan fella has me drooling over 18x10.5 track wheels now, so i'll keep this set for the street.

Stan,

Scratcher is in hibernation :-O
Blew the motor last year just as I took the job interfacing with the Rolex series so I went to every Rolex race thus missing pretty much everything. Told the motor builder not to rush. End of Rolex and I lost my job (company politics...long story) so I still wasn't in a hurry, but he was amassing parts (needed new block/crank) and I'm doing some consulting now and so the first of the year I told the builder 'let's go!'. Talked to him last night and he said 2 weeks. Going with a bigger cam since I pussed out the first time (compared to what the heads want).

In my garage right now is my ITA car (chevy monza, 231 even fire w/5sp) that spun a bearing a few years back and had been sitting. I'll get it back up and running and likely sell it, then get Scratcher going and shookdown. Ordering new custom AST doubles as soon as I can measure for them.

Stan, you pushing 18x10.5 track wheels now? How'd you do that? DETAILS MAN!!!

Slow, thanks for the info. I'm really REALLY torn with my 92. I used to keep it stock due to playing in FStock for autocross, but now that they've f*cked that class (long story, my opinion, blah blah) up I keep thinking 'more power...more brakes...no rules'. While I'm not doing anything right away, the thoughts are there. I love the look of the c5 z06 wheels and I have some 2" spacers that I got in trade. I'd need a 4th gen diff I guess, or another pair. But big meats with a 305tpi is kinda hilarity....so LSx? LTx? Supercharged 3.8 (low weight, stock ls1 numbers). Who knows....I'm just fishing at the moment...

Matthew, 'build documentaries', are you talking about Scratcher or Stans car or the orange slowmaro? I know Stan has some cool stuff about his and his fab work far exceeds mine (as does his patience, likely!!). I swear I'm going to get over to NPR and run with your group sometime!!

Thanks for the votes folks, now hopefully everything else pans out and I can make it.

There's not much to it. Buy the wheels and 2" spacers, and bolt them on (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) It was actually one of the easiest things I've done to the car (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I'll make a new post and throw up some pics.
