I was thinking about going to look for a new Camaro tomorrow...just looking for fun. I decided to do a little internet googling and found the following info:
I discovered my local dealer (Palm Gainesville) was to receive a black SS 6 speed. I'm thinking Cool...cant wait. I located the VIN online and tracked down the car. The dealer website does not show that they have the car. I dig a little deeper and discover that the SOB's put the car up on Ebay and sold it already...before it even arrived at the lot. Sticker was 34k (ish) and the Ebay auction indicates it was sold for 41K (ish). My math is pretty bad but that looks like about a 20% markup over MSRP. Is it just me, or does this seem just wrong. bock |

The two local dealers in my area each have 1. I looked at one on Friday. Yellow v6 auto. They have it out in front of the lot where it can be seen from the highway. When I got close I noticed 2 signs in the windows. One said "NOT FOR SALE" and the other said "ORDER YOURS TODAY". I spoke to the dealer and they are taking orders at MSRP. Sounded like a pretty good plan to me. I almost ordered one, but my check book said no. I think they plan to keep there display car for a few months. They did tell me if I put down a deposit and ordered one, they would let me drive the display car.
