Howdy,
I'm officially looking for some 18x10.5(+) wheels. Factory z06 rears would be fine. I can deal with spacers if necessary, but the ideal offset would be around 40mm or so. Hoping to get ones in the 20-22 lb range. I need eight. Anyone got anything or got any pointers for me? My two data points so far are BBS race wheels at $4k+ per set or replica z06 wheels at $150 or whatever ea. and 26.5 lbs... I'm shooting for something more in the middle of that! :-) Thanks! Mark |

Howdy,
"Cheap" in this case is $300/ea... Hell, even the CCW's seem to be "reasonable" at $2260/set. I'm not sure my head is ready for that reality yet. :-) I'm also not sure how much I care about 315's on a 10.5" rim vs. an 11" or 12" rim. Anyone have any opinion on that? For the Enkei's Brian posted above, you also need to factor in the weight of an ~1" spacer. The spacers also wouldn't be free, even for me (though I can make my own, there's still material costs). My opinion is that the manufacturer has a recommended rim width and I go with that recommendation. I figure, some lawyer and engineer got together and agreed this. Some 315's are recommended on 10.5 and others are not. (Check the other thread for what I found.) |
