The hood is in good condition. The only damage is the rear corners, but I think they can be fixed pretty easy with a fiberglass repair kit from most parts store. Appears to be straight / flat. Nothing is coming apart underneath.

Heh, it was just pointed out on sccaforums that the 4-cylinder camaros and firebirds are now specifically classed in FSP. Was this fiberglass hood available on anything other than the 4 cylinder camaro? If not, this hood is not ESP legal.

My first 82Z had a plastic composite hood. (was an LG4/SuperT10 carbed car). My second 82Z was a crapfire auto with the fiberglass hood and functional vents. I also had an 83Z with the L69/T5 and the fiberglass hood with functional scoops. I don't think that the plastic hood was all that common...I tried to find a replacement at one point in time and couldn't. I had 2-3 extra fiberglass ones...and sold them for $25 each in 2003! :doh: |
