Hey guys,
I can't seem to find out if the 4th gens had a cabin air filter. If so, does anyone know where its located? Thanks! Jason S. |

It depends a lot on your environment. I swapped out the one in our '02 D/A 2500HD a little over a year ago. It was pretty gray, but still flowed air. I've read some have noted a great increase in air movement in the HVAC system after replacing it. I did not, but wasn't suffering a lack of airflow anyway. I was feeling guilty.
It was more of a bisch to replace than I thought it should be. There was a screw way down on the bottom of the ductwork that I simply didn't reinstall because of the issues I had removing it. I have a pretty good tool collection, and made many, many visits to the toolbox to find the right combo of things to pull the screw. YMMV, but I thought it was very poorly-placed. Once the panel came off, the filter dropped right out. But getting the cover panel off, sheesh....... |
