I hope everyone has a great holiday full of family and friends. And for the travelers, I hope everyone arrived safely at their destination.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! |

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
I'm frying the turkey this year too, also for the first time! I already took the dark glass out of my welding helmet so there is just the clear glass left. The turkey has been thawing since Tuesday night. I measured for the right oil level which turned out to be 2" OVER the max line drawn on the pot... but it isn't an issue since I don't have enough oil to reach the recommended max! It should cook good enough anyway... according to one of my friends. Hopefully the oil expands a little when hot? |

I also had to go above the max line, and the very top of the turkey isn't completely submerged. |
