I changed my clutch/flywheel this past weekend on my 97 Trans Am. I had a little trouble getting the center console out and decided that punching it with my fist would be helpful. It wasn't. When I punched it, I hit the ashtray lid and broke one of the hinges on the ashtray lid. Now it it sits crooked and won't stay shut while driving.
The interior of the car is tan leather and the console is that typical 4th gen gray plastic. Anyone have one of these FS? |

According to my information, this is the same part number for 97-99 M6 'birds.
This has been harder than I expected. I found two online sources claiming that they had one of these but when I contacted them, they really didn't. Going rate seems to be about $40 if you can find one (ouch!), One seller suggested that I buy the whole console but that was just too large of a pill to swallow. gmpartsdirect.com no longer lists them as an active part. Maybe I'll call my local Pontiac dealer (before they disappear!) and see what happens with them. I am willing to pay market price for one, in case any of you are wondering.
