I posted at CMC and I'll post here too. I am looking for a how-to on roll cage building. I have a buddy that has a metal shop with everything we need to build it except know how. I know its gotta be inspected by Nasa and I've read over their requirments. Just looking for some hints or tips.

It’s a CMC cage. I'd highly recommend buying a pre-bent kit from Alan. It will greatly simplify things, you’ll probably end up cost neutral or slightly ahead (since it sounds like you’ll be paying someone else to do the bending otherwise), and most importantly end up with a better, safer, more roomy cage that will pass tech. You’re buying from a guy that is a Tech inspector himself, and has done this a ‘few’ times. |
