Eric, can you describe further the "clutchless shift"?
Is it a dog box?
What on the car isn't legal in AI?

thx,
jb

Only one event on transmission.

Not a classic dog box but performs the same function. It's a T56 with face platted gear sets...Large 9 tooth syncors are welded to the gear face like dogs. The gears are prepared by Liberty Gear FACE PLATE GEAR. AI states they must be syncros and these are debatable but generally not acceptable. 5th and 6th gears are standard syncros...so if someone wanted a quick look you could pop the tail shaft off and show them syncros. Shifts normal if you want it to, guarenteed to go into a gear (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/gr_driving3.gif) . This type of transmission was used in most if not all T56 based World Challenge cars before the allowance of sequential transmissions. It's only got one event and is probably the 2nd most expesive part on the car at this point.

Everything else on the car is AI legal...except weight. It would have to be severaly tuned down. I haven't had this combo on the chassis dyno yet but my last similar setup made 420RWHP (7.8 HP/LB) 3300 w/driver. I have all the parts to make any power level you want: Stock heads, cam, ZO6 cam, stock manifolds etc... Bolt on stock heads or change the cam to stock.

The car has never been on a diet, just couldn't bring myselft to cut things off the car, hence it could be turned back into a SCCA T2 (or American Sedan) car.

Thanks. So the throttle has to be flashed when you yank an upshift correct?
I browsed your race photos. Do you have any of the car? Inside, underside, everywhere.
Thx,
jb
