I pulled the trigger on a Summit White 07 Trailblazer SS w/50k miles for the wifey last week. It's got "certified preowned" status which gives me the 100k mile powertrain warranty. It seems to be well taken care of. Body and paint are perfect (not a single scratch or stone chip), interior is perfect, wheels are an 8 out of 10 with some chips in the clearcoat.
My question is...Is there anything special I need to know about the LS2? It won't be raced or abused, so I figure regular oil changes with good syn oil should suffice. Are there any common problems that I should be on the lookout for. Any extra special attention that the SS model requires? I searched one of the TBSS forums, but didn't find the answers I was looking for. I figure since this is a site full of LTx/LSx gearheads, someone else in here probably has one, or knows alot about them. |

AWD. Apparently it has a 4L70E (found in the Tahoe), 4.10 gears, and self leveling airbag suspension in the rear. I've read some complaints of dead trannys and blown motors, but a lot of the owners on forums are modding and racing them.
It is amazingly fast for as big as it is. I honestly think my (stock) LT1 6-speed Camaro would have a hard time keeping up with it in a straight line. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/sadbananax.gif) |
