QUOTE Fortunately, it isn't mine. I just saw it on another board & felt compelled to share it for some reason. I actually read through some of that mile long thread. It is only one side of the story so that is one thing to consider. If what is reported is true then I would press for another car and let them "fix" that one; I just would feel sorry for the guy who buys it. My roommate bought a 02 Ford Focus a year and a half ago (his first brand new car) and after having it for 5 days he got the front end of his car taken off by a Dodge Ram. The accedent was my roommates fault and he took me to see the car. The front end of the car was sepperated from the rest of it and the insurance company didn't total it. The cost of the repair was about $600 less then what he paid for the car new a week earlier. I tried to tell him to have it totalled or take the cash, but don't repair it. Well he had it repaired and it has electrical problems; go figure. So if you Carfax a Ford Focus and it shows major accedent at 94 miles, don't buy it. |
