IIRC, the only difference is the type of diff it's going to. There's a difference in the diameter of the axle tubes between a 9" and a GM 10- or 12-bolt. That's the only difference I know of. I think they may be including the spacers in all the kits anyway, so it really won't make a difference now.
IF you plan to put the link on a 9", and you have a Moser 9", you usually have to notch the axle clamp on the driver's side, as Moser puts their axle vent on the driver's axle tube, right in the way of the clamp. If you plan get a 9" in the future, you can either have Moser relocate the vent when they put your order together, or order the diff without the vent and install one yourself.
