Man the clutch in this car is gonna kill me.
Please let me know what clutch you are using and if it uses DOWEL PINS for the pressure plate. I put in a clutch and pulled it out in 80 miles because of a vibration, it didn't use dowel pins. Holes in pressure plate were .400, bolts .380 how does that work? The clutch in this car has been out way too much for oil leaks, vibrations, no shift conditions what a PITA. Car has the Tick MC in it. Full weight and then some, 375 rwhp is a street car that gets track days about 4 times a year. Its in a 99 Z28 with a LS1/6 I don't wanna spend a grand on a clutch. He did the right thing but I still have a car apart and can't decide. Scoggin Dickey has a killer deal on a LS7, ARP bolts, Aluminum flywheel for $560 |

Scoggin Dickey has a killer deal on a LS7, ARP bolts, Aluminum flywheel for $560 That's what I have, even bought it from them, but I had to go with a Ram alloy f.w. since they did not offer one for LS1s at the time. I love it! If you are not going to push the power/torque levels up too high it can't be beat (for street/occasional open track use), especially with the Tick master, which I wish I had sprung for instead of a new stocker. The car later on down the line will get a cam and a better catback, you would think it would make 420-430rwhp, the cam will be small 220 ish. |
