Hi,

As the title suggests, what would you turn yourselves to:
  • 2013 CTS-V Sedan
  • 2013 AMG C63
  • 2013 IS-F
  • 2013 M3
  • G-Sedan w/ lsx engine
You read correctly, the top 4 are straight forward, the last option I'm considering finding a good body Inifiniti G-sedan and transplant a LSX engine (maybe crate ls7) w/ a T56.
Very common, no cutting/welding required... just a mounting kit and modification to the oil-pan, and new driveshaft.

Anyways... let me know what you think.

Here are some pro/con of some of the choices.
  • 2013 CTS-V Sedan
    • available manual transmission
    • plenty power
    • great handling package
  • 2013 AMG C63
    • only auto transmission
    • open-differential (unless you pay an extra 6k$ for a LSD +30hp tune and some carbon fiber bling)
  • 2013 IS-F
    • only auto transmission
    • might be low on hp/tq
    • great handling package
  • 2013 M3
    • available manual transmission
    • only available in coupe (no more sedans M3)
    • great handling package
  • G-Sedan w/ lsx engine
    • available manual transmission
    • lowest price-range, especially if find a decent 2004-2008 body
    • great potential for power w/ lsx powerplant + ecu (thinking getting at least in the 500-600hp since it's a daily driver)
    • some assembly required
What do you think ?

Of the options, I would go with the CTS-V, but in wagon form.
I have considered purchasing one several times, but decided it was not practical enough, in terms of total cost, mileage, etc.

I would stay as far away form BMW as I could. I have a 2010 335i, and multiple dealers, in multiple states, have done everything in their power to evade warranty claims.
Resale on BMWs has gone to absolute crap, although, that is probably less true for M cars.

Have you considered the Audi S4?
Stock, it is lower on power than some of the others in your list, but Stasis has a package that bumps it up to 410 hp / 370 lb-ft, and they include a factory-matching warranty. They also have a high bias center diff, for something more RWD like.
