Hey guys,
I recently started autocrossing my 2000 camaro ss. I want to get more competitive but I will not run any class formally, I just want to have fun and beat my own best time. Currently, Im looking to buy wheels and tires because my current tires are getting old and they are 275/40/17 all-season kumhos. I want to upgrade to either a nt05 or bfg rival. What I cant decide is if I should go to a 18x10.5 because I prefer the looks and run a 295 tire all around or stay with stock wheels and run 275 nt05's all around. Which would you guys choose and why? Thanks, look forward to becoming part of the community |

Welcome! There is a 'wheels and tires' section of this forum where very similar discussions have taken place. Check out that section, and after reviewing some of those posts you still have questions, re-pose this query there.
But if you're new to autocross, stick with a good, quiet street tire on the stock wheels for at least a year. You'll learn more on low-grip street tires than you would something sticky. |
