Hey guys,
I recently started autocrossing my 2000 camaro ss. I want to get more competitive but I will not run any class formally, I just want to have fun and beat my own best time. Currently, Im looking to buy wheels and tires because my current tires are getting old and they are 275/40/17 all-season kumhos. I want to upgrade to either a nt05 or bfg rival. What I cant decide is if I should go to a 18x10.5 because I prefer the looks and run a 295 tire all around or stay with stock wheels and run 275 nt05's all around. Which would you guys choose and why? Thanks, look forward to becoming part of the community |

The NT05 last forever. I have a set on my car that I bought used, and I still can't kill them. Trust me, I try hard and they still won't die.

Those are still alive? holy crap. 7 or 8 events, 2 of which were at Devens, and 1500 street miles. Not easy ones either. Not much grip left in them but still clinging to life. I have no idea how. To the OP: I think if you only do a couple events a year and drive sanely on the street, 20k doesn't seem out of the question. |
