Anyone in the New England, Mid Atlantic area going this weekend? I'm thinking about it....
Anyone ever run with this group or at the site? What can I expect? Thanks! |

I ended up going to the event. What a blast! More laid back than I'm used to, and it was great only having to work one half an hour shift! (I'm co-grid chief, I work all day long normally).
Bumpy lot, sandy, not a tremendous amount of grip, but was it a fast course! Z06's were on the rev limiter for much more than a bump or two. I left the Hoosiers at home (I wanted to save them for NE Div's), so I kept the new-to-me street tires on - Dunlop SP8000's on the ubiqutous AFS 17x11's. Major rubbing in back, hard to really get power down, transistion, heck, hard to do anything! But, man were those big tires fun! Got my butt kicked by Bruce Bellom, so it's good to see how I stack up (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Definitely a good time. If I ever get an opportunity, I'll try to go back. |
