Got the car on the mustang dyno and got the tune ironed out. The intake manifold/throttle body is now a restriction as we watched the manifold pressure drop more and more as the rpm increased on the runs.
Run before smoothing was 247 whp 268 tq, it's got a good bit of torque for a little V6. Up from 169 whp and 184 tq when it was mostly stock. Fuel pump died a few days after this, dodged a bullet there. Almost done with the E85 system. The engine did what a stock LS1 did on the same dyno. She's a cruel mistress. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqEeV_XYktY (IMG:http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a141/WarShrike/Dyno%20Jan%202017_zpsf9qc0voo.png) This post has been edited by WarShrike: Mar 27 2017, 12:34 AM |

Yeah the 275s are where Strano said I'd be golden and the 315s might be a bit too much. I'll be running some 20lb wheels 18x10.5s as anything lighter would be pretty expensive and have to go custom.

Yeah it's hard to beat the size vs weight of those wheels. But I wonder what the difference in weight is once the tires are mounted between what you're going to run and something like an 18x8 with like a 255 wide tire. Might not be that much of a difference, really. Idk I'm just trying to spend your money, really. Really cool project though. Can't wait to see more. |
