Hey guys,
Registered about a year ago. Never made any posts. I do more lurking than anything when I visit from time to time. Never autocrossed or been on a road course. Have stuck to casual drag racing But wanted to give something else a try. The car used to have a tubular k member, manual steering, no front sway bar, Midwest chassis anti roll bar in the rear, still has a short torque arm, lots of items removed to make it lighter, 15x3.75 and 15x10 wheels with drag radials. Has a Ford 9” with 3.50 gears and a mildly built up 4l60e with a yank 3600 converter. Consistently running 7.40 in the 1/8th. So in the last year I’ve put a stock k back in that I welded up all the seams that weren’t from the factory, added stock sway bars back on for now, still on stock shocks and springs, power steering, front and rear bumper supports, and 17x11s on all corners with 315’s. It’s been fun being able to go out and run around twisty back roads again. I’ve been enjoying to car a lot more this year. I got to the point that it was more work and effort than fun to drive the car how it was before. Decided on a change. Still have not done an autocross yet. Some things I want to button up first before that but I think I’m getting pretty close. Rob |

Welcome! Exactly what do you have? Ah guess I should have mentioned that. I have a pewter 2001 z28. Have had the car for 12 years. Got it with 97k on the clock. The body now has 202 on it. Had the RS ground effects on it but I took those off about 8 months after I got it. The front pieces were pretty beat up and wasn’t very keen on them anyways. I motor wise it’s a got a short block with about 25k on it. 799 heads, tick sns 3 cam, 90mm fast and throttle body, qtp long tubes with 3-4” y pipe and then a factory Slp dual dual. How can I post a picture? Rob This post has been edited by Rob C.: Jul 24 2020, 05:55 PM |

<SNIP>How can I post a picture? Rob Create an account on one of the many picture hosting sites. Please avoid photobucket, they offer 'free' but then hold your pictures hostage demanding money to allow publishing, then more money to get more bandwidth, usually rendering any helpful pictures posted in how-to forum threads pretty much useless. I use Fotki. They offer a 'free' account for 90-days, or so, but their fees aren't that bad. I think I get several tens of GB of space for about $3/month. There are others, some even 'free'. Once you have your picture uploaded to the picture hosting site, you then go to it on that site, and copy their link that enables you to post the link in the forum thread you are wanting to post in. |
