I realize this could be a simple question but I am on a roll of screwin' things up W/ this car.

Can I place 2 jack stands under the engine crossmember? Is there any reason to not do this?

you could also put two jacks on the frame as close to the front as possible for better stability correct? and since they are only about 8 dollars or so for two 2 ton rated ones, it probably couldnt hurt.
