Well, trying to gut everything out behind the dash with out pulling the dash has turned into quite a chore. But thats another story and if your bored you can read it here:
http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.p...623#post1898623 Anyways, while tearing everything apart I came across 3 little black boxes. One of them is marked "body control module" and the others don't have any real markings. Does anyone have ay clue what these are for and if they are something that can be thrown in the trash? |

QUOTE But if you want to street it from time to time.....and have stuff work....I wouldn't get rid of ANY of that stuff....just cause you headaches. Agreed. If you are still driving this car on the street then take things out carefully. If you get the factory manual and become intimatewith each and every wire you can lose the items you don't want and keep the items that you want. Knowing the wiring will be useful in the future when you want to remove everything to make it a dedicated track vehicle. We stripped the Camaro in a couple of different sessions. If I had it to do again Iwould have purchased everything we needed then had the car down for 6 - 8 months and taken it apart then put it back together again. If we do another race car this is the way we're going to go. Of course I just bought an '89 325i that I'm making into a track / street car, so we'll probably end up half-assing that too. At least I can talk like I'll do it right in the future. Jason |
