With snow in the forecast for this weekend, I reinstalled the Blizzaks this morning. Good thing - snow is falling now! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)
Shouldn't get much accumulation, but still.... Finishing up putting the shrink wrap on the drafty old windows. Still in shock from the fuel oil bill. Maybe I can transfer back to Texas! Burr.... I hate winter.... BTW, 225/55-16 tires, 16x7.5 steel wheels - no fitment issues. I'll get a weight in the Spring (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) |

QUOTE (sgarnett @ Nov 12 2004, 12:19 PM) I saw snow in Texas on the news recently - was it last week? Kevin, I don't think unsprung weight is all THAT big a deal for driving on snow (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) That was just a reply to his comment that he'd get a weight in the spring. Actually, they may work better if you filled them with antifreeze. Beats putting sand in the back (not that I do that with snow tires on the car). We did that to a lawn tractor once. It would not climb any hills, filled the tires with antifreeze, that thing went everywhere. Snow in Texas? I remember Mitch posting a picture last year when that happened..... |
