An offtopic not F-body search....
Anyone know what car(s) came with TINY turbochargers? Especially looking for something that's probably easy to access and CHEAP. Housing size is most important. SMALL. Something from an eclipse or talon may work.
The older K-cars came with turbos but the design is probably much less efficient. Something out a turbo diesel meant for farm applications might do the trick too. You would have to get it out of a small tractor or implement. Most farm diesel engines don't rev that high so I'd imagine that the housing would be quite small for little to no lag. Farmers that I've met are very financial conscious too, if you have a part number, you could probably get a rebuilt or salvage one for cheap. |
