Ok I know this has been covered, but I can't find the info.
I am runnng 315's on zr1's and I know I need a spacer in front. I installed the wheels and the rim is hitting a bump on the spindle arm. It looks like I need around 1/2 spacer. Where is a good place to get spacers? Someone posted a link earlier but I can't find it. Has anyone just ground off this bump? Will the wheels fit without a spacer in this case? I don't care about classes, I have no class! Thanks, TIm |

Man, Rippie is VERY proud of his stuff. $390 for a 17x11 wheel??? (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)
Depending on the class (as in ESP) it's not legal to grind that bump off. Otherwise, that would be all you would need to do. 1/4" spacer will do it with 50mm offset wheels. Of course you could get 36mm offset ZR-1's and not have to buy or do anything!!!! That's what I use in the front. You want a hub-centric spacer, don't get anything else. You will need at least 1/4" longer studs in the front also. I got mine at http://www.wheeladapter.com/ They are $40 each, not cheap but you don't want cheap if you're going to race on them. They're made from 6061-T6 billet aluminum. |
