I searched to no avail. Just a quick question. I am a little concerned that welding might do something to the PCM. What do I have to make sure it disconnected or whatever in the car before welding? Anything? Tia

QUOTE (souseless @ Nov 30 2004, 03:52 PM) I am a little late adding a reply, but it sounds like you are going to make the right decision. Where I work we run into this on manufacturing equipment on a daily basis. Definetly disconect the battery and the computer. Also as was previously stated put the ground as close to your work as possible. I have seen thousands of dollars in damage from a ground that was poorly located and a 2 minute weld. Pffeww,Yeah I did disconnect the batt. and the 4 Pcm wires before leaving it today. Thanks again (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif) |
