QUOTE (redbird1 @ Feb 9 2005, 05:18 PM) For the best of both worlds, (nascar & F1) the IRL is hard to beat right now. And that's the truth, like it or not. Not! The IRL is like restrictor plate racing in NASCAR. The cars are underpowered and downforced to the point that just about anyone can race in them. There is no creativity allowed and the racing is artificial. The declining ratings are proof that the IRL doesn't work. (CART isn't doing any better, but at least they can turn right) I'm not a NASCAR fan (not since DE passed away), but they are the most competetive series out there. You want to see some people who can drive, check out the WRC on Speed TV. Those guys are nuts!!! Back on topic - Schumacher is the best out there. The first two titles with Benetton (sp?) are proof of that. Ross Braun, Jean Todt, and Michael have built the current Ferrari dynasty - which I am enjoying to no end. |
