 Can a bad wheel sensor cause SES light? |

In a moment of potential stupidity, I cut and removed the wiring to my right-front ABS wheel sensor. Now, after driving for a period of time, I see the SES light illuminated in the dash. Could the lack of speed feedback from this sensor cause this? I have no diagnostic tools or I would check the code myself.

Shouldn't. The SES light is for the powertrain, the ABS INOP light is for the ABS. I just had an ABS failure last week, and only got an INOP light, no SES light.
Just a coincidence I'd think. Of course you could scan the car and find out for sure. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |
