I am in the process of ordering a 12-bolt for my car.
My current 10-bolt will be for sale. It is a 3 channel rear housing with 3.42 GM gears. Superior forged axles, TA cover. It has been painted with POR15 and then a gloss black paint. It currently needs a left axle seal. I need to replace it before I kill it. who is interested and what are you offering? |

QUOTE (severous01 @ Jun 27 2005, 13:52) i paid 250 for mine with 13000 miles off an 02 WS6, complete with shocks, springs, swaybar, brakes, fluid, rotors, and it even had the boot things the springs sat on. i don't know if it's a TR2 or whatever, but the posi was WAY beefier than the stock lt1 version, and it's bigger than my buddy's on his z28 too. Out of a 2002 WS6 would be a Torsen posi. Called a T2 if I'm not mistaken. SLP sells take-outs for pretty cheap. It is not the T2R which is a road race piece though. Your LT1 would've originally had an Auburn posi if I remember correctly. Not really a good comparison because his has the better posi, aftermarket axles, cover, etc. You did get a good deal on a stock rearend, but this one sounds like it's built for road racing. |
