Here is my region's SCCA gallery page. There are a bunch of vidoes of outside views of our competitors. But the coolest ones (IMO) are my "cone cam" movies. I have the bullet cam, and have it mounted on an 18" pole off the b-pillar. It gets a great wide angle view of the course, the car, and me in it, driving as well. It's way more fun than just an abstract on-bumper cam. I've looked at it to see how well I am really doing, since I can see myself and my actions and how I'm actually placing the car in the gates. :drive: (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/burnout.gif)
Here is the general web page with links: http://www.scca-susq.com/photoslinks.html Here is a movie of me (4th Gen Mk2 TA)... (movies are mpg or Quicktime) from top http://www.scca-susq.com/movies/050508TAfromTop.mov fender cam http://www.scca-susq.com/movies/050508TAwheel.mov the pole cam (this track was very dirty and slippery, watch for the back end out action!) http://www.scca-susq.com/movies/050619Pavs...pitatorRun2.mov another pole cam http://www.scca-susq.com/movies/050925ChrisTApcm.mp4 If anybody wants a pic of the setup I can post something up, reply here or email me -Chris |

I wouldn't mind seeing a picture of that setup. The perspective it gives is nice. I a friend of mine wants to do something similar, but with the camera ending up above and behind the car to give that video game 'god' view, but really so you can see where the car is on both sides, and guage attitude.
