Street Legal High Performance Vehicle Registration
Nothing on their website convinces me they can do this. I always thought a special license plate would be good for us "mod" types, since we do not significantly contribute to smog. Why not charge us a fee, take the handcuffs off us and start going after those smokestacks factories that have the get out of jail free card right now from the current (cough) administration. |

I'm sure a lot of California cars would want to be able to get away with more mods (other states too). This website has all the appearance and makings of a rip-off.
I agree that the factories and other large industrial facilities should pay their fair share for polluting, but it isn't a current administration-only problem. Countless previous administrations (of either political persuasion) have looked the other way for a long time. At least in AZ all they do is connect to the onboard computer; as long as it doesn't register any emissions issues, you pass. |
