Just wanted to say howdy to everyone. Just found a link to this site and decided to register after seeing a few of the other names here. Looks like there will be a lot of good info getting passed around.

Anyways, my main thrust with my car is the Open Road Race scene. but I do a few lap days from time to time.

Boyce, glad you made the trip over here.

So, I'm getting ready to install my LG Radiator. How did yuou rework the upper support to make the thing stable?

Also, did you remote your oil filter? If so, where?

Where did you snake your oil lines?

Having a dremel tool made this one pretty easy. It helps to make very precise cuts. I used a cut offwheel and one of the tube like sanding bits (this one melts the plastic more than cuts it). I just rested the fan housing on the radiator and looked for the partsthat kept it from sitting flush on the radiator and took a little bit out at a time. The little metal tabs that hold the fan housing in place have to be bent EVER SO SLIGHTLY!!! I cant stress that one enough. Just use a flat tip screw driver and slide it in the tab and just give it a VERY GENTLE twist. If you use to much force it will pop the tab off the radiator.

For the upper support I used the same method and tools. The 2 brakets that hold the radiator in place need to be trimmed to fit. I tried to trim more on the forward part than the rear so there was more behind holding the radiator. You also have to trim the rubber pieces that grab hold of the little bars. I took out a little bit at a time until I could press it on. I was able to get so tight that you couldt move the radiator if you tried. just take your time. I have one picture of the radiator in place but I don't think it really shows any of the nessacary cutting required.

I have got around to doing the cooler but mine is going to be alot more extensive than most. The remote filter system I have is going to require me to relocate the battery because of the size of the dual filter unit (AMSOIL dual remote). the only place with enough space is where the battery is. I am using the Canton block off plate and will more than likely run the likely snake the lines as far away from the belts as possible, along the bottom of the radiator and then up to the filters where the battery is/was located.
