New ECTA 1 mile drag record of 201.82mph!!!
The standing mile record for the East Coast Timing Association (ECTA) was set by Winston Churchill at 201.82 mph through the mufflers and 22 gallons of gas on board. Previous record was mid 170's. Record was set May 20, 2006 in Maxton, NC. This was posted on another board a while ago (and I lost track of the thread and couldn't manage to locate it) and I fell in love with the car (though I already wanted a C4) and am really starting to think I need one of these. I was thinking that was the case, but I didn't sell them until '95 and I am getting rusty on my old Corvette information. I know they fixed the rear suspension geometry in 1988, but I'm rusty on the rest.
