As the topic/description says, I'm getting ready to put new tires on my 1998 Dakota Sport (2wd). The truck sees significant use 12 months a year (it has 206k on it so far), so I want something that will last, give a reasonable ride, and not cost more than the truck's current market value. Have tried Yoko Avids, Kumho equivalent (can't recall model), and the pathetic factory rubber. Anyone know of a durable alternative to those listed?

Michelins LTX M/S, period. I put nearly 50k on them in less than 2 years and they still looked NEW. They worked well for me in the one snowstorm I had to deal with. Plus they are quiet, something I haven't found on other truck tires.
