The first thing it says is this is not a recall, and don't automatically take the car in. It goes on to say that the failure rate on the left OR right catalytic converter is high, and they are extending the warranty on them. If you have already had them replaced, they have a reimbursement program.

Maybe not the last, but most of those remaing are AARP elligible. I pulled the cat off of my '89 Formula, added a Dynomax exhaust (3") and lost HP. I guess I am getting old, I didn't want a loud exhaust on this car either, which explains why the stock exhaust is on there. |
