I've decided to go to a T10 setup some point this year, so I'm going to sell off one of my T5 setups.
-WC T5 out of a ~100k mile '91 Camaro -V8 bellhousing -freshly machined factory lightweight flywheel -pedals -stock shifter -Camaro console shift plate Buy whatever clutch kit you want and LT1 hydraulics are $100 from GMPD and you're good to go. $500 picked up OBO I'm about 30 miles SW of Chicago. I've done T5 and T56 swaps into 3rd gens. They are absolutely different. The LT1 uses a "pull" style slave cylinder, the T5 uses a standard (conventional) push style slave cylinder. I can't tell you what that part number is for, but I can tell you 100% that LT1 hydraulics will not fit a T5.
Was the line from the master to the slave plastic or braided? Edit: It just hit me that the LT1 flipped the mounting on the slave cylinder. It mounts behind and pushes forward where the T5 mounts in front and pushes to the rear. I guess it could be possible to interchange them, but I won't swear to it quite yet. |
