For those who may be looking for HPDE events at Watkins Glen this season, trackmasters has posted their event schedule and has openned reservations for the season. They are a very serious and safety minded group and have programs from the novice level through to Open Track. I have run with them for the last 9 seasons and highly recommend them. Their school groups tend to fill quickly since they limit the number of students, so early reservations would be a wise idea. Open Track generally has no limit to the number of entrants. If you're interested, info is on their web site. www.trackmasters.com I pay to participate in their events. I have no monetary interest in their organization. However, if you are looking for good instruction as a student or 5 hours of track time daily in Open Track, I'd recommend you check them out.

If you have prior track experience, you can contact Tony Funicello, the Chief Instructor via their website and see if you are qualified to run as an intermediate student. Trackmasters runs many intermediate schools throughout the season, but usually only one or two novice schools. Sounds like you may have a shot at the intermediate schools. Worth checking on it to be sure. I think I'd be better off starting with the novice days and maybe seeking more info on the bmwcca and pca driving schools at the glen/mosport in addition.
