I feel stupid for even posting this but, due to the amount of time I have to dedicate to the car these days (two toddlers/wfie working long hours), I figured that I try to be prepared as best I can for any potential "gremlins"

Anyway, my '00 T/A's turn signals are now slow and spotadic. I know that the bulbs themselves are ok ~ so other than the battery and alternator, where else should I look ?

The relay and/or flasher. If both sides are that way, I'd replace the flasher first.

It's under the dash on the driver's side. It's been a while since I changed mine, but I think it was close to the center console. You may have to remove the kick panel to see it. After you remove the panel, just turn on the turn signals or hazard lights and follow the click.

Or you could move to Phoenix, where nobody uses them... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif)

There's one for the flashers and a different one for the turn signals. So if you follow the sound of the hazards you probably won't get the right one.

Just had to replace my flasher today. It never worked right (sporadic) then a couple days ago, the signals quit altogether though the hazards fixed it all. It's pretty inexpensive.

hazards blink normally, flashers cycle every 4-5 seconds. ~2sec on, ~2sec off kinda thing.

Yup, under the driver's kick panel, by the center console. It's an acrobatic feat to get to and I moronically sliced my thumb open trying to get to it... but when you get under there, look for the metal rail on the console side... it's clipped on the "inside" of that rail. You won't be able to see it from the bottom, but you can see the back side of the clip and you can feel it.

It took me entirely too long to change my flasher module... [/shame]
