So does this mean the price for a used C5/C6 model will be dropping?

Or remove those same bits from a Z06 and be a real lightweight (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) True, but for anything but a sanctioned class, I'll take the power and torque of the ZR1 over the same car with less power and 150 lbs less weight. I don't know that I'd feel the 150 lbs, but I know I'd feel the power differences. That's just me, there's no right or wrong answer. So how are those Torque Addicts Anonymous meetings going? Give me the lighter Z06 with the carbon brakes and new aero bits with more NA power anyday. Hopefully GM will offer those brake as an option on the Z06. Is GM definitely going to carry on with the C6 Z06 once this monster is unleashed?? It would be cool if they did turn the current Z06 into a lightweight track car with more NA power, the lighter carbon bits, great/light racing shell seats with harnesses and Penske or Moton coilovers. A Hollinger sequential would also be cool, but then we're into the $150-$175K territory. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/gr_sad.gif) Of course it is, but since I'll probably NEVER be able to afford (short of being a solitary Mega Lottery winner) even a used stock C6 Z06 I might as well 'pipe dream' BIG, right?! |

My gosh,
That dyno chart makes 424 HP look just feeble, weak, and lame! I'm feeling so inadequate now.... I wish there was a pill for that! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/gr_sad.gif) |

Alittle read that was posted on our webboard from one of the GM engineers that frequent there. zr1 motor My favorite 2 lines from that article - "smooth driveability at low speeds" & "320 lb.-ft. of torque at only 1,000 rpm". You do realize that this thing has as much power at normal "let-the-clutch-out-revs" as the average, stock LS1 does at redline? How is this car going to take off smoothly at redlights. I can see it now - "But, Officer, my foot wasn't even on the gas. It's the idle, I promise!" |

That means... drive w/ r-compounds on the street... lol would like to see that car with some boost increase... insane (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |

If you aren't flooring it, there won't be so much power trying to make its way to the rear wheels. |

That will be cool if the production ones come through with the Corvette Racing 'skully' embossed on the intake/filter lid like in that pic! (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool2.gif) This post has been edited by dailydriver: Dec 28 2007, 08:48 PM |
