....yeah 14 years is a BIG chunk of your life.....
The pain is fading....but the SIMPLEST thing can bring it reeling back....like seeing his stuff in the yard, or smelling him in the house. At least I don't hear his phantom chain anymore... (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) I was struggling with the impulse to go out and get another one quick....but we have a 10 day vacation coming up so that is forcing me to be "intelligent" about that choice. |

my condolences.
I don't have a dog, but I have 2 nephews (at least that's how i call them) and just thinking about it is crazy... can imagine what you are going through. Looking on the bright side of things, I think he got a great life while he was around. |

QUOTE Looking on the bright side of things, I think he got a great life while he was around. This is what I kept reminding myself about my dog, but then I'd come back to the fact that I didn't care that I'd made the right decision to put him down and that he'd had 13 good years, I just wanted him still there. I'm selfish like that. Jason |
