I have been cleaning, organizing and fixing up the garage for 5 weeks now.
Lets start with before pics. This was after I cleaned it up enough to barely fit the M3 in months back. (IMG:http://i41.tinypic.com/snce3k.jpg) The ceiling and shelves aftering being cleaned off (IMG:http://i39.tinypic.com/346rmew.jpg) (IMG:http://i43.tinypic.com/403nb.jpg) (IMG:http://i41.tinypic.com/72abkw.jpg) I tore out the bench, cleaned and organized my shed so I could move a bunch of the car parts into there once they were organized. Next was a bunch of drywall patching and taping and repatching and sanding and...... Finally two coats of Killz was followed by 2 coats of paint, a little touch up and almost done. I know the gray is kinda ugly; it was $5 for a gallon off the culled rack. (IMG:http://i44.tinypic.com/se2811.jpg) (IMG:http://i44.tinypic.com/157yjwh.jpg) (IMG:http://i41.tinypic.com/vgiws0.jpg) As of right now there is nothing but cars on the lower part of the floor, and I hope to keep it that way. I will probably build a little table to go next to the tool box, not sure yet. All told I spent $200-$250 on supplies, and am happy with the results. another trick. park one car in nose first and one car in tail first, so that both driverside doors are facing one another. this way your using the same door opening space for both cars.

Too neat! I could not work in that garage. And it has way too much unused space!

Now he can get more stuff to fill up all that empty space. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rotf.gif)
Seriously, nice. I hope to get there soon, when the shop's built. We meet with the builder tomorrow to stake out the site. This post has been edited by CrashTestDummy: Feb 25 2009, 06:10 PM |

Mitch, anything you need sir.
Glenn, I used to do that, but prefer pulling it in straight. I can get both doors open on the M3, and the drivers door on the bird. James, sure thing. Guy, give me time. My shed is just as neat, for now... |

Nice work!
Every time I go home on break from college, I spend the first day cleaning my father's shed before we start working on something. I makes working on stuff much more pleasant. So, which one is faster, the M or the TA? |

I don't know how I own so much crap. Even if I put it all on shelves, I'd fill up half of one side of my garage. Rhit rs was at my place a few weeks ago and can tell you that my garage is in serious need of a cleaning/repiling of crap. I might start that today when I get home in a bit.

I had to restrain myself from tidying up while I was over there (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) TB, you need some heat in that place...then you can prep the car all through the winter. I'm glad to hear the red car is faster. The M's not bad for a beater car. |

Chuck explained to me that the silver car is for picking up chicks.
The red car was for winning chicks away from their boyfriends. |

I think Mitch is confusing me with a guy that had an old silver M5 that was hitting on Mitch's wife, after meeting them as a couple. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

But, I think I put him in his place later in the while on grid. (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool2.gif) That weekend was absolutely the most fun I think I've ever had at the track. Lot's of great one-liners and happenings took place all with great friends. |
