I took a ride down to the dealer in my buddy's new car to get the Lojack installed (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/2thumbs.gif) and i ended up buying a(new to me) Tahoe for the wife (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/nutkick.gif) My buddy and me took the Tahoe down to Santa Monica pier for lunch while they installed the lojack (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/cool2.gif) And yes the mod's have started on both! Pic's....

This is what happens when they can't put out the new rules for next year (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/banghead.gif)

It wasn't really on a whim, we had been looking for a white Tahoe for awhile(or a CTS-V) and this one was just to good of a deal to pass up. I really wanted a Denali with a 6.2 6spd auto, but there is no way i can swing a 60t$ truck. My wife is just a great lady, think pit crew on race weekends. This is what she drive's everyday, look in the upper left...(EDIT) I really HATE that car, i just don't fit in it!

Sometimes she drive my old work truck/ toy, its not very pleasant to drive on the street.

My wife drives an '08 3LT Z71 Tahoe, it's a great truck. It would be greater if it had the 6-speed trans., but after our 330xi was totalled we needed something for her. I've actually achieved 19-20mpg on a trip. We had to get some bilsteins for it, and my wife (who isn't "in" to cars) noticed the difference in like 40' of driving. LTZs have auto-ride and probably better shocks than ours came with so you may not need them.

How 'ya like the 5th gen?

Oh, and btw the view from your office is waaaaaay better than mine.

OK, now I feel a bit better, John.

But, there are at least a few days of the month that I wish I was somewhere that had no cell phone coverage, plenty of physical labor available and no other obligations. But, just a few days.

BTW, I'll take good care of the Camaro while you're out, if you want!

My wife just drove up to her sister's for a few days, she averaged 16mpg. Not bad for being on I-5 were everybody is doing 80+, than it was stop and go on the way home. I think the MPG will go up with a c-back, CAI, ditch the TB coolant line, and tune it with EFIlive. Im still researching the suspension options, im looking at the Pedders or McGaughy's 2/3 drop or just a rear leveling kit.

The 5th gen is my buddys car, and he hasn't let me drive it yet (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) It is a cool looking car, but it looks funny with the really small tires on it. The interior has this really cool looking blue in color "piping" thats comes across the door. Stupid fast car in a straight line though, and solid at 120mph.

Yeah they do have a nice view.... unit you have to look at it for days on end. And its about to get really nasty weather wise.

I've done it about 4 or 5 times actually. My ex wife and I had a habit of waking up, swinging by and buying a car. Heck, I bought a new one, took it back for clean up, drove another and bought it too. That was 2 in 2 days. It happens far more than you might imagine. However, those days are over for me.

I wasn't married at the time (1999).

I went to the Chevy house with a friend so that he could pick up a new FRC vette and I was going to drive his Suburban home. I ended up driving out of the dealership in the 1999 Z28 before he finished his paper work on the vette. The Suburban sat there overnight. lol

Stan forever buddy (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/2thumbs.gif) I hear ya Big E (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rotf.gif)

Rant Alert (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/rant2.gif)

I know there is no way to buy american all of the time. And it doesn't sit to well with me that it may be american made, yet the $$$ leaves to some other country when the product is bought(its better than notting though i guess (IMG:http://www.frrax.com/rrforum/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) ) Our country is becoming weak, and by no means will buying "American" made by an "American" company fix everything that is wrong here.... BUT IT'S A START

Don't know why im thinking like this nowdays so openly!

Because you're tired of feeling like you should apologize for it.

8 cars and counting and I've never bought a foreign car. Hopefully, American manufacturing won't ever go away and I don't ever have to buy an unAmerican car from an unAmerican car company.
