Does anyone know who makes a white faced 2 1/16" oil pressure and oil temp gauges with warning lights? And I might be interested in a water temp with warning light also. I emailed autometer and they said they didn't.
Thanks in advance! |

Look into what NASCAR is running for gauges, they are programmable to turn from green to red and then flash red when they get out of range. |

I can't remember what they are called, but they are on the autometer site. |

Look at Speedhut:
http://www.speedhut.com/custom_gauge_descr..._number-473.htm I have one of their tachs, and it's a nice unit. Tachs have a programmable shift light, and output for an external light, which I'd use if I really needed it. The pressure and temp gauges appear to have programmable warning lights. They're stuff is highly-modifiable. You can pick your style, then background and number color, as well as needle color and backlight. I'm not associated with them at all, just like the product. |

Here is what I found...
Innovate MTX dual function Gauges The oil pressure is listed around the outer led ring, the oil temp is listed in the center via numerical readout. The warning LED's can be customized via serial port or serial to usb adapter on your computer. This will help conserve gauge pods on the pillar (if you run that setup). |

Most of the big NASCAR Cup teams use Spek gauges now. Those are the ones Fastfatboy referenced that completely change color as a warning. Very cool, but pricey!

Autometer Elite series is what I was talking about. I thought these were what NASCAR use. |

I've got a set of Autometer Ultra Lite gauges sitting in a box that I bought 2nd hand, but I'm considering changing to the Elite. I just don't know if they are worth the price. $220 a pop. But, it would be so nice to have the entire gauge light up and flash when it's either time to shift, or if temps or pressures get out of control. It would be so much cleaner and simpler than have dedicated waring lights with their senders. I don't know, I go back and forth every day it seems. Just added 5 gauges to my cart for Summit to see what the total would be. Nearly $1100. And that's why I haven't placed the order. This post has been edited by Steve91T: Aug 14 2012, 09:05 PM |
